Welcome to the Youth hostel of Åsa Folk High School!
Location:
Åsa Folk High School is situated in Sköldinge between Flen and Katrineholm in the middle of the County of Sörmland, 150 km’s west of Stockholm. 15 minutes by car from Katrineholm and 40 minutes from Stockholm Skavsta airport.
Youth Hostel:
Åsa Folk High School has two guesthouses, each with ten double rooms and two single rooms. 16 double rooms are self-contained with separate shower and toilet and the single rooms share shower and toilet facilities with an adjacent double room. Both houses have fully equipped kitchens, a sitting room with sofas and TV and a roofed outdoor space.

Opening hours:
The Youth Hostel is open all year around. During peak season - June 15 through August 10 - the reception is open all days from 8.00 am to 12.00 am and from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm. During low season the reception is open Monday - Friday 7.30 am to 4.00 pm, Saturday 8.00 am to 1.00 pm. Closed on Sundays.
During the period December 15 - January 15 only bookings in advance are accepted.

Double rooms: 19 EURO/person
Price for non-STF members:

Facilities:
Breakfast is served daily. Otherwise principle of self-catering is applied. During school terms, lunch and dinner is served Monday through Friday

Grocer’s shop 5 km’s, restaurants and shops 12 km’s (Flen) or 17 km’s (Katrineholm)
To see and do:
We have a library, our own football field, a 2.5 km well prepared running/walking track with electric lighting, a gymnasium with training equipment and a sauna.
Close to Åsa Folk High School there are several outdoor bathing areas, a go-cart track, golf courses, a horseback riding centre with Icelandic horses, picturesque hiking tracks etc. There are bikes and canoes for hire.
There are also other interesting places and buildings (castles and manor-houses), including: Warbro Mills, Harpsund (the summer residence of the Swedish Prime Minister), Julita open-air museum (the Swedish museum of agriculture), Vrå Stone Age Village.
